"Web of Lies"

by Brandilyn Collins

Time for a book on a Blog Tour or a "Blour du Jour" as Brandilyn Collins calls it.

Her new book "Web of Lies" is another GOOD one! This book, the last in her Hidden Faces series, brings together two of her popular characters, forensic artist Annie Kingston and Chelsea Adams, who sees visions sent by God. A nightmarish vision. A murder in broad daylight. How are they connected? After witnessing a shooting at a convenience store, forensic artist Annie Kingston must draw a composite of the suspect. But before she can begin, she hears that Chelsea Adams wants to meet with her-now. Chelsea Adams-the woman who made national headlines with her visions of murder. And this vision is by far the most chilling. Chelsea and Annie soon find themselves snared in a terrifying battle against time, greed, and a deadly opponent. If they tell the police, will their story be believed? With the web of lies thickening . . . and lives at stake, who will know enough to save them?

Here is what she said in a couple of interviews...

Q: Do your own books give YOU nightmares?
Brandilyn: Nope. And they should. I am definitely warped, like my mother says.

Q: Are there any benefits to being a writer of the suspenseful?
Brandilyn: I get to tell boys who want to date my daughter that I "kill people for a living." (Said daughter just rolls her eyes, but it works on the boys.)And, oh yeah--I get to create Story.

Don't forget to b r e a t h e . . (TM)

What's the big creepy in this one? Spiders, ya spiders! This is another winner! I love this book and now I have got to find the first three! Don't worry though you don't have to read the first three to enjoy this one. There are no spoilers in it to ruin the first three!

Happy Resurrection Day!!!

Ya, they also call it Easter.

I just am not into the pagan god Ostara/Eostre. Which is where the bunny and eggs came from. Why do Christians have pagan junk attached to it's greatest Holyday? To get pagans to feel comfortable in Church, no really, that's why!

So, Jesus was crucified on Friday and they had to have Him in the grave by 6pm. Why? Because His people start the day at sunset, so Saturday started at 6pm on Friday. So why did they have to have Him in the grave before Saturday? That was His people's Sabbath/Holy day, as a Christian we celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday, and they couldn't touch the dead on the Sabbath.

Now here we are on Sunday, the third day he's been in the grave. The guys and gals that hung around Jesus and listened to Him are now hiding back at the hall. One of the girls goes to His grave to pour perfumed oil on him, back then they didn't embalm the dead so they rotted quickly. Just after dawn she shows up at the grave and finds it open! Someone rolled the stone away from the mouth of the tomb!

So a grave robber got to Him first? Nope, the Romans posted a squad to guard the tomb so no nuts could steal the body and claim He rose from the dead. So they fell asleep and a bunch of guys rolled the stone away and stole the body while the fat little rent-a-cops slept. No, these were Roman Soldiers and the punishment for falling asleep on watch was DEATH! So what happened? A couple of angels rolled the stone away as the power of Heaven flooded the tomb! Jesus raises from the dead and the soldier are slain in the spirit, knocked cold by pure power!

Now Mary runs in and finds the body gone and she falls apart. She exits the tomb and wanders up the path where she meets this guy she thinks is the gardener. Her eyes are full of tears and she looks at Him and asks where He took Jesus. He says her name twice before she recognizes His voice. She grabs Him and hugs Him as if to make it so He can never leave again. Well Jesus tells her to go tell everyone that He is alive. He makes sure she knows to tell even His friend Peter, who had denied he knew Jesus just three days earlier.

Now we have historical testimonies of 500 non-Christians seeing Jesus walk the streets for the next 40days! (I don't have them but it's documented.)

We celebrate Easter/Resurrection Day on Sunday and made that day our Sabbath because that is the day He rose from the dead!

Happy Resurrection Day!

God Bless!

Good Friday?

What's that all about?

Aren't all Friday's good?

Well to understand the whole thing you have to go back a night, to a Thursday two thousand years ago.

Back in the first century a bunch of friends got together for a party, not that kind of party, an dinner party to celebrate something that had happened a long time ago. The Holiday {originally spelled Holy Day} was called the Passover and was about their people being set free from slavery, to the Egyptians. God had told this guy Moses to lead his people out of slavery and after a bunch of weird things happening, he did. So God tells them to remember this every year and make it a Holyday.

{Check out the movie "the Ten Commandments" with Charlton Heston, not completely accurate, but close enough. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049833/}

Well back in the first century, these guys are celebrating it with their leader/teacher Jesus. When he turns to one of the guys and tells him to do his deed now. So Judas leaves and goes and narqs on them to the religious nuts in charge. The rest of them head out to the garden for some air.

Jesus tells some of his closest friends to go up into the garden farther as he had something to do. So he goes up and starts praying for Friday {see it is about Friday} and the stuff he has to do. Well the narq Judas shows up and Judas kisses him on the cheek! Well this was a sign for the guys with swords and spears to grab the teacher Jesus. The hall him off to night court to try him and they convict him with out a jury! Sentence him to death for saying stuff they don't believe!

Well their country is in the hands of the Romans that invaded them, so they can't kill him. They go to the Romans and tell them to kill him! After some shuffling the local Roman "Boss" decides that Jesus is cool and tries to get the religious people to let him go. The Boss brings out a local murderer and asks them which one to set free, because it's their Holy Day and he wants to let someone go free. They load the hall with their people and get the murderer set free! Murdered the innocent and protect the murderer of the innocent, religious nuts!

The Boss ask what to do with Jesus and they scream out to kill him! He decides to beat him almost to death and see if that would do. Well the soldiers go overboard and when they get done he doesn't even look human! They bring him out and show what they did.

The Boss asks if that's enough and they scream out "No, kill him!"

He says "The man is in your hands you do as you wish, his blood is on your hands."

The religious scream "That's great, kill him!"

So early Friday morning they make him carry his cross up a hill and crucify him.

He dies and they bury him.

Good Friday!

God Bless!
